Greetings everyone!

Firstly, I would like to thank each and every one of you, who have downloaded and read Mancer, be it the original Folklore Game Jam edition from a year ago, or the more recent playtest updates to it.

I've been working a lot on Mancer as of late, and the game is getting close to being ready rules-wise. In this, the most recent version, I've also added some public domain art more representative and varied to give you an idea of how the game looks and feels. 

Over the past years, a significant amount of changes has been done to clarify the core mechanics, especially the spellcasting, one of the core pillars of the game. Now, the structure of the book revolves around different books, namely the Core Rules book and the different playbooks, representing different styles of characters the players can play. 

As the title of this devlog says, the game itself is getting close to the point, that I can start getting together publication edits as well as start gathering art. Right now unfortunately I am not in a financial position to commission artists, especially in the style that I would want for the book. So, hopefully, by the beginning of 2022, I will be setting up either an Itchfunding goal or if there is interest, an Indiegogo campaign (for legal reasons I am unable to use Kickstarter, don't get me started on how annoying that is) for the art of the final book. 

At the beginning of the crowdfunding, the game should be done rules-wise, and have about half, if not more, of the setting material for you to play with. At that point, the base rules version of the game will still be offered for free, but the full game with setting materials and creatures will be most likely be offered as Pay-What-You-Want with a minimum price.
